Maintenance precautions for UPS power supply

The maintenance and use of UPS power supply are inseparable. There should be scientific usage and correct maintenance methods in order to achieve high utilization rate of UPS.

1.When maintaining an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), it must be done with the device turned off to prevent ionization caused by internal high voltage, which can trigger IGBT with charged particles and cause equipment failure.

2.If the UPS power supply with a maintenance bypass can be switched to the maintenance bypass for maintenance, but the internal power is still charged at this time.

3.Before maintenance of the UPS power supply, it must be self discharged.

4. Use a vacuum hair dryer for maintenance tools, never use a damp cloth.

When the UPS battery system malfunctions, the cause should be identified first, distinguishing between the load and the UPS power system: the host or the battery pack.

When performing UPS power maintenance, be sure to pay attention to safety. When dealing with power equipment, even a small operational error can cause serious injury. Therefore, when dealing with UPS power supplies, safety rules should be followed, including following the recommendations of the equipment manufacturer, paying attention to special details of the facility, and following standard safety guidelines.
