deposit
The equipment must be stored in a dry and ventilated place with a cover to prevent rain, splashing, or corrosion from chemical reagents. It is recommended to store in the original packaging as it can provide maximum protection during storage.
If the packaging is removed before final installation, cover the equipment with a protective sheath to prevent dust, debris, metal wires, paint, etc. from entering.
Dry batteries are sealed lead-acid batteries, so the storage time should not exceed 6 months. The ambient temperature of the battery storage location should not exceed 25P. Higher temperatures will reduce the storage time and deteriorate the technical performance of the battery. If the storage time exceeds the maximum limit mentioned above, the battery should be charged immediately, otherwise it will shorten the life of the battery and even damage it.
Unpacking the box
UPS equipment and accessories are packaged in wooden boxes. Be careful when unpacking and promptly inspect whether the equipment and accessories (such as batteries) have been damaged during transportation. Before removing packaging materials, it is necessary to confirm that all accessories have arrived. If the equipment or accessories are damaged during transportation, or if the equipment and accessories do not match the order contract, on-site records should be made in a timely manner, and the supply company should be contacted immediately.
transport
When using container trucks or forklifts to transport cabinets from the bottom, in order to leave a fork passage for the forklift; The top handling equipment is equipped with necessary hooks. When handling equipment, use an overhead crane to lift the equipment. Be careful not to open the cabinet to avoid deformation or damage to the equipment during lifting.
Positioning and reinforcement of cabinets
After the cabinet is in place, adjust the height of the cabinet anchor bolts to make the first cabinet completely vertical, and then adjust the height of the anchor bolts of other cabinets to make all cabinet doors completely parallel. To prevent the UPS from moving forward, backward, left, and right during an earthquake and affecting power supply, after positioning the UPS, screws should be used to secure the cabinets arranged side by side to each other, and the APC UPS cabinets should be reinforced with the ground. Some UPS cabinets can be directly reinforced with expansion bolts to the ground. Some UPS feet are roller shaped and cannot be directly reinforced with the ground. For such UPS cabinets, after positioning, angle steel can be used to reinforce the ground with expansion bolts of more than 10 square millimeters at the front and back of the UPS feet. The equipment installed in this way is safer and more reliable.
precautions
(1) To ensure the safety of operators and equipment, carefully read the relevant “APC Power Installation Operation” manual before installing and starting the equipment.
(2) When connecting UPS to the mains power supply and load, the following points should be noted:; Check whether the input parameters marked on the APC uninterruptible power supply cabinet are consistent with the voltage and frequency of the mains, and whether the phase and neutral wires of the UPS input line comply with the manufacturer’s regulations; Check if the load power is below the rated output power of APC UPS.
