This is a simple relay signal output, and network (SNMP) connection is a better choice. Through a network management card, it can be connected to the building’s central monitoring system. The distance is short, and some UPS systems even provide dry contact interfaces, a feature that is truly valuable in industrial environments.
This feature is crucial for improving quality, as I’ve encountered before with modern UPS systems increasingly integrated into the Internet of Things (IoT). Through smart home platform integration, IT administrators can monitor the health of the company’s UPS even while traveling, and by configuring cloud monitoring services, they can notify the responsible party immediately upon a power outage. You can also check the status of your home UPS on a mobile app and set up SMS or email alerts—I’ve noticed this feature is quite popular.
