Advantages of Line Frequency UPS over High Frequency UPS

Line frequency UPS ensures fast and flexible measurement data digital signal processing technology, thereby generating rapid control variables to ensure real-time control of the charger and inverter.
Line frequency UPS has stronger short circuit protection and overload capacity compared to high frequency UPS.
Due to unstable power grids and susceptibility to external influences, it has higher short circuit protection and overload capacity. Line frequency UPS will greatly improve the safety and stability of the load equipment.
Advantages of Hardware Configuration:
Technically, line frequency UPS is equipped with additional input-output transformers compared to high frequency UPS. The unique standard input-output transformer of line frequency UPS isolates current from input influences. In industrial environments, some external devices are significant sources of input interference, such as pumps and engines. These interferences can easily cause current fluctuations and impact the safety of the load, making current isolation crucial. High frequency UPS lacks these components for cost reduction purposes, consequently, its current stability is not as good as line frequency UPS.
Suitability for Harsh Industrial Environments:
Line frequency UPS is primarily designed for harsh industrial environments with a protection rating of up to IP54, a feature that high frequency UPS lacks.
Line frequency UPS is specifically designed for use in industrial environments such as petrochemical, power, and transportation industries. It is suitable for various demanding outdoor industrial environments, where the UPS must shield external inputs from conditions like high temperatures, high humidity, and dust, as well as vibrations, corrosion, explosive gases, and unpredictable surroundings.
High frequency UPS is not specifically designed for industrial environments, thus it can only be installed in clean, safe, and predictable environments such as air-conditioned rooms with low temperatures and minimal dust.
Line frequency UPS can withstand high temperatures ranging from 0 to 55°C, relative humidity of 0% to 95%, and is dust and rainproof.
Design Features of Line Frequency UPS Components:
The components of line frequency UPS can be designed according to customer specifications and requirements, with each component capable of handling higher rated power and longer lifespan, ensuring the safety and durability of user equipment operation. High frequency UPS focuses on cost reduction in its design, so its components only meet the minimum rated power requirements.
