APC UPS

APC UPS power supply usage and maintenance methods(part 1)

In today’s society, many industries, especially mechanical equipment in large factories, cannot do without UPS power supply during production and manufacturing. UPS power supply is an important peripheral for computer information systems, communication systems, data network centers, etc. It is very important to protect computer data, ensure the stability of power grid voltage and frequency, improve power grid quality, and prevent the harm caused to users by instantaneous power outages and accidental power outages.

How should we use and maintain APC UPS power supply correctly? The use and maintenance of UPS power supply should follow the following 10 points:

1)Correct power on/off sequence

In order to prevent damage to the UPS caused by the impact current of the load at the moment of starting, the UPS should be powered first during operation, so that it is in bypass operation, and then the load should be turned over one by one to prevent the impact of the load current on the UPS and extend its service life. The shutdown sequence can be seen as the reverse process of the startup sequence, first closing the load one by one, and then closing the UPS.

2)Before starting up, it is important to confirm whether the polarity of the input mains connection is correct to ensure personal safety. Note that the total power of the load cannot exceed the additional power of the UPS. UPS operations should be prevented from overloading to ensure that UPS can operate normally.

3)After shutting down, precautions should be taken. After the mains power is interrupted, the APC UPS uninterruptible power supply is powered by the battery pack and automatically shuts down. If there is an abnormality in the mains power supply and it switches to the UPS battery pack for power supply, the load should be promptly closed and the power should be shut down. After the mains power recovers and returns to normal, the APC UPS should be restarted for use,

4) Application environment requirements

The temperature requirement for UPS power supply application environment is between 0-40 ℃, relative humidity of 30% -90%, and altitude<1000 meters. Strong magnetic objects should not be placed on UPS, otherwise it may cause abnormal UPS operation or damage to the machine.
