Common Knowledge about UPS (1) – Classification of UPS
According to different working principles and application scenarios, UPS is mainly divided into the following categories:
1.Online UPS adopts Double Conversion technology, which converts AC power to DC power and then converts DC power to AC power to provide stable power output. Online UPS can provide the highest level of power protection, suitable for critical equipment with extremely high power requirements, such as data centers, servers, and medical equipment.
2.Offline UPS backup UPS is usually in standby mode and will only start internal battery power supply when abnormal grid voltage is detected. This type of UPS has a lower cost and is suitable for both regular office equipment and household electronic devices.
3.Line Interactive UPS combines the advantages of online and backup UPS, with automatic voltage stabilization function. Direct power supply when the grid voltage is normal; When the grid voltage is abnormal, adjust the voltage through the built-in voltage regulator and switch to battery power supply when needed. The online interactive UPS is suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises as well as high-end household equipment.
