Common Knowledge about UPS (4) – Key Points for Choosing UPS

When choosing a UPS, the following key factors need to be considered:

1.Power capacity: Choose the appropriate UPS capacity based on the total power of the load equipment. Generally speaking, the rated power of UPS should be greater than the total power of the load equipment to ensure stable power supply even under high load conditions.

2.Backup time refers to the time that the UPS can continue to supply power after the main power supply is interrupted. Select appropriate backup time based on actual needs to ensure the completion of critical tasks or safe shutdown operations during power outages.

3.Conversion time refers to the time required for UPS to switch from grid power supply to battery power supply. Online UPS has almost no conversion time, while backup and online interactive UPS have a certain conversion time. For equipment that requires high power continuity, UPS with short conversion time should be selected.

4.The output waveform of UPS is divided into square wave, analog sine wave, and pure sine wave. Pure sine wave output has the highest power quality and is suitable for equipment with high requirements for power quality; Square waves and analog sine waves are suitable for ordinary electronic devices.

5. Brand and after-sales service: Choose UPS products from well-known brands to ensure their quality and reliability. At the same time, understand the manufacturer’s after-sales service policy to ensure timely technical support and repair services in case of equipment failure.
