APC UPS

Excellent characteristics of APC uninterruptible power supply

For a high-quality APC uninterruptible power supply system, it has the following excellent characteristics:

(1) High reliability

The system has the ability to provide 365X24 continuous high-quality and easy to operate UPS inverter power supply. This means that in the operation of the APC uninterruptible power supply system, it is not allowed for any momentary power interruption/outage accidents, nor is it allowed for ordinary mains power to directly supply power to user loads through AC bypass. Therefore, it is required that the UPS power supply system should meet the following requirements: due to the low failure rate of UPS single machines, the average time between failures (MTBF) of large UPS products is currently between 200000 and 400000 hours. Adopting the highly fault-tolerant “N+1” type UPS redundant parallel system to further improve the reliability of the UPS power supply system (the typical MTBF value of the “1+1” type redundant parallel system can reach 1.4 million to 2 million hours). There should be no single point bottleneck fault hazard in the entire APC uninterruptible power supply system. Allow uninterrupted maintenance and repair operations to be carried out under the condition of continuous power supply from UPS inverter power supply. In case of a short circuit fault on the user’s device, the impact of the fault should be minimized to the smallest possible extent.

(2) High anti-interference ability

The UPS power supply system can achieve high “availability” of equipment and create a favorable operating environment for it. A large number of operational practices have shown that power interference is one of the important reasons for the decrease in “availability” of equipment. It should be noted that power interference not only comes from the ordinary power grid, but also from the poorly designed UPS itself and the user’s equipment itself. This is because the servers, disk array machines, and switches configured in IDC and MDC data centers are all equipped with switch power supplies. This rectification and filtering type nonlinear load will reflect 3 ^ 23 low order harmonic interference to the UPS power supply system, which may result in a decrease in voice quality. Practice has proven that excessive and high-frequency power interference can lead to a decrease in transmission rate, an increase in data packet loss rate of network servers, and other hidden faults, resulting in equipment being forced into a “reduced usage” state. In severe cases, it can lead to network paralysis. Therefore, the rapid development of high-speed information network technology has put forward stricter requirements for the power quality that UPS power supply systems can provide.

(3) High service life

The legendary reliability and stable quality of APC uninterruptible power supply are well-known in the industry. Its service life is at the forefront of the industry, and on-site maintenance services are provided during the daily warranty period.
