APC UPS

Overview of APC UPS System Functions

The system is expected to achieve continuous power supply to the load for a certain period of time by replacing the mains power supply with APC UPS when there is a sudden power outage due to a fault in the mains power input, ensuring the normal operation of the load. When the mains power supply is poor, rectification and filtering circuits can be used to improve the mains power supply and ensure stable load input. Alternatively, when the mains power is unstable, the UPS system circuit can be switched to use a backup or discharge circuit, and battery energy can be used to replace the mains power output for a certain period of time, outputting stable sine electricity to ensure normal production work for a certain period of time and reduce losses caused by grid collapse.

UPS is a third-party, frequency pure online intelligent UPS developed with new digital technology to meet the reliability requirements of power supply in China’s power grid environment, network monitoring, network systems, medical systems, etc., and overcome the increasingly harsh power grid environment caused by centralized power supply in medium and large computer network systems. DC power supply is a device that maintains a constant current in a circuit. Such as dry batteries, rechargeable batteries, DC generators, etc.

UPS and DC power supply are important power supply guarantee equipment for enterprises. Traditional maintenance management includes: ① daily inspection of appearance, regular replacement of vulnerable parts such as batteries, filter capacitors, fans, etc., and battery activation during major repairs; ② Transform or adopt replacement equipment, and use advanced tools to test battery performance. This management method has high investment costs for enterprises, heavy workload for maintenance personnel, difficulty in real-time monitoring of equipment operation status and key data, and low ability to prevent equipment accidents. Implementing online maintenance management can avoid the shortcomings of traditional methods and achieve good benefits. It can ensure that the computer system continues to work for a period of time after a power outage, so that users can urgently save files and not be affected by the power outage or lose data.

Working principle of    APC UPS system

The basic principle of   APC uninterruptible power supply design is to rectify and convert the input AC power into DC power. On the one hand, it charges the backup battery, and on the other hand, it inverts and converts it into a steady frequency AC power.

(1) Batteries are the energy source that supplies power to loads during power outages or severe voltage fluctuations in the power grid, and are an important guarantee for UPS to achieve its functions.

(2) The inverter is the core component of the UPS to output stable voltage and frequency AC power, and it is also the core of the entire UPS. The use of redundant backup units is also to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the load;

(3) The bypass auxiliary power supply is an auxiliary power supply that provides uninterrupted power supply in the event of UPS maintenance, repair, or inverter failure.
