When the generator is used for power supply and the mains power is restored, the green 1 light is on, the yellow 1 light is off, the alarm sound stops, and the load battery light indicates the load capacity:
(1) Power off: Press the OFF button, the green 2 lights go out, the output socket is powered off, the load/battery and fault indicator lights are all on, then the load/battery and fault indicator lights go out one by one from bottom to top, and finally the load/battery 5 lights come on again, the green 1 light remains on, the UPS power supply stops working, and the battery remains charged.
(2) Requirements for battery charging and discharging
The capacity and usage time of the battery are the main criteria for measuring the performance of Santak UPS power supply, so it is very important to use and maintain the battery correctly. Therefore, we require regular charging and discharging operations on the battery, as long-term charging can cause aging of the battery plates and a decrease in discharge capacity. However, long-term charging failure can also lead to the problem of insufficient capacity caused by oxidation of battery plates. The criterion for judgment is that if the continuous charging time is less than 16 hours and it is in a discharging state again, the generator should be used to supply power and supplement charging in a timely manner.
The instructions require charging and discharging once every 3 to 4 months. According to the summary of usage, it is recommended to discharge the Santak UPS power supply once a month, no more than 2 months at most, which can appropriately prolong the battery life. The method is: when someone is on duty during working hours during the day, cut off the mains input of the UPS power supply, and use the battery to drive the computer host and monitor to work normally through the UPS power inverter until the load/battery 1 light comes on and the load/battery 2 light comes on. When the alarm sound of the UPS power supply host becomes more urgent, the mains power supply is restored. This process normally lasts for 3 hours.
If there is often a long-term power outage in the local area more than once a week, and the UPS battery is used to supply power to the situation that the machine will be shut down [the alarm sound is short] or has been shut down, there is no need to discharge it again; If the generator is used to supply power within a short time after a power outage, it is recommended to carry out discharge operation. If personnel and conditions permit, the power outage time can be used to carry out discharge operation.
5. General fault indication status of Santak UPS power supply
In mains mode:
a. The green light 1 is flashing, indicating that the neutral and live wires of the mains input are reversed. If the UPS power supply can still operate in mains mode, the two wires of the mains input should be swapped.
b. The green 1 light flashes and the yellow 1 light is on at the same time, indicating that the voltage or frequency of the mains or generator exceeds the normal range, and the UPS power supply is working in battery mode
c. The yellow 1 indicator light is flashing, indicating that the UPS power supply is not connected to the battery or the battery voltage is too low. At this time, check whether the battery is connected properly. If the connection is correct, it indicates that the battery pack is faulty or the battery is aging, and should be eliminated or replaced.
d. If the load exceeds 96%, the buzzer will beep every 0.5 seconds. At this time, the load should be reduced, and useless devices should be turned off or canceled,
In battery mode: When the battery is powered on, if the battery runs low, the load/battery 2 and yellow 1 lights up, the buzzer will gradually turn into a long beep state, the output will automatically cut off, and the UPS power supply will automatically shut down.
Abnormal mode: When the fault indicator light is on during operation, it indicates that the UPS power supply is in abnormal mode. At this time, all loads should be disconnected, the equipment should be connected to other power supply lines, the Santak UPS power supply should be turned off, and the fault phenomenon should be reported to the automatic station maintenance personnel. Wait for professional personnel to handle it, and do not continue to supply power with the fault.
