Many people are curious about what a power distribution box is? What is a UPS input/output distribution cabinet? In fact, the distribution cabinet is the air switch cabinet that you connect the load to. For example, there is a small box for the air switch at home, and the distribution cabinet for UPS output is a larger cabinet with the same purpose. The size depends on the power of your UPS.
What is a power distribution box?
Power distribution box is a type of distribution box, generally referring to the power distribution of 380V voltage. The distribution box is divided into power distribution box and lighting distribution box, and is the final equipment of the distribution system. The distribution box is assembled in a closed or semi closed metal cabinet or screen according to electrical wiring requirements to form a low-voltage distribution device.
During normal operation, the circuit can be connected or disconnected by manual or automatic switches. In case of faults or abnormal operation, the circuit can be cut off or an alarm can be triggered by protective appliances. Various parameters during operation can be displayed by measuring instruments, and certain electrical parameters can be adjusted to provide prompts or signals for deviations from normal working conditions. It is commonly used in various substations, distribution stations, and substations.
Classified according to the requirements of the power supply system:
(1) The first level distribution equipment is collectively referred to as the power distribution center. They are centrally installed in the enterprise’s substations, distributing electrical energy to lower level distribution equipment in different locations.
This level of equipment is located close to the step-down transformer, so the electrical parameters are required to be high and the output circuit capacity is also large.
(2) Secondary distribution equipment refers to the general term for power distribution cabinets and motor control centers. The power distribution cabinet is used in situations where the load is relatively dispersed and there are few circuits; The motor control center is used in situations where the load is concentrated and there are many circuits. They distribute the electrical energy from a certain circuit of the higher-level distribution equipment to nearby loads. This level of equipment should provide protection, monitoring, and control for loads.
(3) The final distribution equipment is collectively referred to as the lighting power distribution box. They are located far from the power supply center and are dispersed small capacity distribution equipment.
