The use of communication voltage regulators
After using UPS power, there is no need to add an AC voltage regulator. If it is necessary to add, it should be added to the front stage of the UPS power supply, that is, the mains power first passes through the AC stabilizer, then through the UPS power supply, and finally to the load.
Avoid overloading with UPS power supply
When using UPS power supply, the size of the load should also be calculated to avoid excessive or insufficient load. Excessive load can cause the UPS power supply to work in an overloaded state for a long time, thereby shortening its service life; If the load is too small, the working circuit of the UPS power supply will operate in an abnormal state for a long time, which also poses a certain harm to the UPS power supply. A reasonable load should be controlled between 50% and 80%. Practice has proven that the optimal and most reliable output load control for UPS power supply is around 60%. When the UPS power supply experiences overload or inverter failure, it will switch to bypass mode operation. At this time, the UPS power supply does not have backup function, and the power used by the load is directly supplied through the power system.
There are techniques for balanced charging of batteries
At present, many valve regulated lead-acid batteries (VRLA) used in UPS power supplies have been referred to as maintenance free batteries from the beginning, which gives users a misconception that these batteries are both durable and completely maintenance free. When the battery in the UPS power supply encounters the following situations, it should be charged evenly: excessive discharge causes the terminal voltage to be lower than the specified calibration voltage of the battery. For 12V small sealed lead-acid batteries, the discharge calibration voltage is 10.5V; For a 24V battery pack, the discharge calibration voltage is 21V; The discharge calibration voltage for a 96V battery pack is 85V.
Do not use diesel generators
UPS power supply should not be powered by diesel generators, as their frequency often fluctuates and becomes unstable, affecting the normal operation of UPS power supply.
Ensure real-time monitoring
At present, intelligent UPS power supplies have operational performance characteristics such as communication with microcomputers and program control. Install the corresponding software on the microcomputer, connect the UPS power supply through the serial/parallel port, run the program, and use the microcomputer to communicate with the UPS power supply. Generally, it has functions such as information inquiry, parameter setting, timing setting, automatic shutdown, and alarm. Like Winpower. Then, by controlling the cable through a dedicated serial port, connect the UPS power supply to the computer, and communicate through RS232 and RS485 protocols, the UPS power supply can automatically shut down when there is no mains input and low battery. And it can simultaneously monitor multiple UPS power supplies connected to multiple serial ports.
