APC UPS

Modular UPS

The modular UPS power supply is extremely flexible. The design concept of the power module is that it can be removed and installed at will when the system is running without affecting the operation and output of the system, so that the investment plan can be “expanded on demand” and users can achieve “dynamic growth” as the business develops, which not only meets the on-demand expansion of later equipment, but also reduces the initial purchase cost.

When users estimate UPS capacity, they often underestimate or overestimate it. Modular UPS power supplies effectively solve the above problems and help users build and invest in stages when the future development direction is not yet clear. When the user’s load needs to increase, they only need to increase the power module according to the plan.

Modular UPS Solutions

Modular UPS adopts standard structural design. Each system consists of power module, monitoring module and static switch. The power modules can be connected in parallel to share the load evenly. In case of failure, the system will automatically exit and other power modules will take on the load. It can be expanded horizontally and vertically. The unique redundant parallel technology makes the equipment without single point failure to ensure the highest availability of power supply. All modules can be hot-swapped and replaced online. Maintenance is the safest power protection solution.

Modular UPS host:

The modular UPS power module adopts a double conversion online structure, including rectifier, inverter, charger, control circuit, and circuit breaker for input and output battery busbars. It has input power factor compensation function. All modules can be replaced online by hot plugging, providing the highest level of availability and maintainability.

The modular UPS host control module adopts the industrial CAN BUS control structure, and two redundant hot-swappable control modules complete the control and management of the system. The failure of one control module will not affect the normal operation of the system. The control module can be replaced online with hot swap. The parallel connection of the power module is also centrally managed by the control module, and it runs according to the unified parallel parameters. If a power module fails, it can automatically exit the parallel system without causing harm to the entire parallel system.

The modular UPS system uses an independent static bypass module instead of multiple static bypass structures to avoid overload damage caused by uneven current flow in multiple bypasses during bypass switching. The output voltage accuracy of the modules in parallel is ±1%, and the parallel circulating current is <1%.

SNMP card is standardly configured, and HTTP, SNMP, and TELNET protocols are used. The UPS power supply status, battery status, bypass status, inverter status, self-test status, power-on status, input voltage, output voltage, load percentage, input frequency, battery voltage, battery capacity, battery discharge time, UPS internal temperature, ambient temperature, and other UPS power supply operation conditions can be clearly viewed, thus improving the management efficiency and quality of the UPS power supply protection system. The open windowsNT/ windows2000/windowsXP/windows2003 operating system platform is selected.

Temperature and humidity sensors can be optionally installed, and a multi-function network card can be inserted to monitor and alarm the temperature and humidity of the computer room environment through the network.

Intelligent power distribution system

The system is an integrated power distribution system for UPS power input and output, used in conjunction with the UPS host. It contains the UPS input switch, output switch and maintenance bypass switch as well as the system’s total input switch. The main switches are all equipped with auxiliary contacts; it contains a current sensing system and communicates with the UPS host.

The power distribution system consists of an input power distribution unit, a branch output power distribution module, a monitoring module, and an isolation transformer. Each power distribution module of the output power distribution unit is equipped with 18 output branches, and the current of each branch can be set from 6A to 32A on demand, and the three-phase balance is adjusted according to the configuration and changes of the on-site load. The power distribution system can be installed with up to 6 plug-in power distribution modules, and the number of power distribution modules is optional.

The power distribution system has the same size and color as the UPS host. The standard configuration is: LCD display, UPS maintenance bypass panel (including system main input switch, UPS input switch, output switch, maintenance bypass switch, which is a switch with auxiliary contacts). Detection circuit mainboard, three-phase input and output voltage and current sensor components, neutral current and ground current sensors, and external EPO signal interface.

Input K value isolation transformer and branch current monitor are optional.

The power distribution system can be equipped with a network card, which can monitor the parameters, status, historical records and alarm information of the power distribution cabinet through the network. It can monitor the input and output three-phase voltage, current, frequency, neutral current, ground current, KVA number, KW number, power factor, branch current, etc. of the power distribution cabinet through the network. And the current high and low voltage alarm thresholds can be set.

External batteries and battery cabinets

The battery adopts maintenance-free fully enclosed lead-acid battery. The battery capacity and brand can be configured according to needs. The battery is installed in a battery cabinet with the same brand, appearance and color as the UPS host.
